Blues, Brews, and BBQ Concert Series with The Ugly Valley Boys

Attention, music fans! It’s time again for our weekly Blues, Brews, and BBQ Concert Series update.  Summer is unfortunately slowly coming to a close, and so is this annual concert series at Snowbasin.  Indeed, only three shows remain on the bill.  If you still have not been to one of these free shows, your opportunities are almost gone.  If you have been to a Blues, Brews, and BBQ concert, be sure to come out again for the final three shows of the year.  This Sunday, September 15^th, Snowbasin’s Blues, Brews, and BBQ Concert Series will feature the Ugly Valley Boys and special guest Shane Osguthorpe. 

The Ugly Valley Boys are a two-piece new roots/Americana band from Salt Lake City.  Comprised of vocalist/guitarist/percussionist Ryan Eastlyn and upright bassist Braxton Brandenburg, the Ugly Valley Boys formed in 2010 and released their debut album, Double Down, in 2011.  Since the release of Double Down, Fans and critics alike have fallen in love with the Ugly Valley Boys’ unique sound.  One critic, Megan Richardson of mirrabook.com, describes the Ugly Valley Boys’ sound as similar to “Johnny Cash with a dose of suburb-bred guitar virtuoso.  Think Misfits, Talking Heads and Chris Isaak covers transformed into upbeat, down-home, three-beers-in, energetic, pomade-styled acoustic country rock that could live in a garage if only its hands were greasier. Throw in a dose of artistic genius…and you’ve got the Ugly Valley Boys.”  Come experience the Ugly Valley Boys’ one of a kind sound and live performance when the band graces the stage at the Patio at Earl’s Lounge this Sunday.

Joining the Ugly Valley Boys on stage at this edition of Blues, Brews, and BBQ will be Shane Osguthorpe, a reggae solo artist from Ogden.

We are extremely excited for this show.  You do not want to miss out on this one.  The Ugly Valley Boys are a supremely talented duo, and based on what we’ve seen in YouTube videos and read in online reviews, the Boys always put on a great live show.  So come out to Snowbasin on Sunday, support a couple up-and-coming local bands, and enjoy some fine music.  Bring the whole family, too; this is an all-ages show, and the entire family will surely enjoy it.

Shane Osguthorpe will take the stage at the Patio at Earl’s Lounge 12:00 pm, followed by headliner the Ugly Valley Boys at 3:00.

Earl’s Lodge is located at the base of Snowbasin, just beyond the main parking lots.  The Patio is located around the back of the building; you should have no trouble finding it.  Admission to this Blues, Brews, and BBQ concert is free and open to all ages.  Delicious BBQ grub and beer will be available for purchase.
