XTERRA Trail Run Series Wolf Mountain

Trail-running is one of our absolute favorite outdoor past times.  Fortunately for us, living in Ogden Valley affords us plenty of opportunities to quench our trail-running thirst, as this area is home to countless trails that are perfect for running.  Do you love off-road running as much as we do?  Are you looking for the ultimate trail race to suite your outdoor running interests?  Then we encourage you to check out the XTERRA Utah Trail Run Series at Wolf Mountain.

First of all, what is the XTERRA Utah Trail Run Series?  Bear with us as we explain how it works.

The XTERRA Utah Trail Run Series is a sub-series of the comprehensive XTERRA USA Trail Run Series, which includes more than 60 runs that range in distance from 5K to 25K and take place all across country.  According to XTERRA’s website, the XTERRA USA Trail Run Series is “grouped into (sixteen) geographic regions, and each region has anywhere from 3-to-7 races that runners can compete in and accumulate points towards their regional championships.”  Those who win their respective regional championships are awarded free entry into the XTERRA Trail Run National Championship, which will be held in September at Snowbasin.

The XTERRA Utah Trail Run Series is one of those sixteen regional series in the overall XTERRA USA Trail Run Series.  2013 is the first year of the Utah Trail Run Series, and this first edition will feature three races: Jordanelle Trail Run, Moab Trail Run, and Wolf Mountain Trail Run.

The XTERRA Wolf Mountain Trail Run will take place this Saturday, July 13^th at Wolf Mountain Ski Resort.  Those who wish to participate have the option of participating in a 5K race or a 10K race.  Both races begin at 9:00 am and start and end at Wolf Mountain Ski Resort.
