Amazing Raise for Ogden Valley

We love living here in Ogden Valley.  It is truly beautiful here—in more ways than one.  One of our favorite things about living here is that life here is about 20 years behind the times—in a good way, of course!  What we mean is—life is simple here.  We ski, we bike, we hike, we boat, and we play with our kids.  We know our neighbors, and they know us.  Ogden Valley is a community, a community whose members are somewhat accountable to each other, and we love that.  Nothing exemplifies that very notion more than the Community Foundation of Ogden Valley and the Amazing Raise.

The Community Foundation of Ogden Valley is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to aid the other non-profit organizations that work to “benefit not only the people of Ogden Valley but the thousands of visitors who enjoy the valley.” 

Just a few of the organizations that the Community Foundation of Ogden Valley provides aid to include Back Country Horsemen, which develops and maintains equine trails in the area; Snowbasin Adaptive Sports Education Foundation, which provides winter sports outings for disabled individuals; the Wolf Creek Foundation, which provides family retreats for deploying servicemen; Ogden Nordic, which offers Nordic skiing programs and maintains the trails at North Fork Park; and many, many more.

The Community Foundation of Ogden Valley raises funds to support these local organizations through its annual charity event, Amazing Raise for Ogden Valley.  This year’s Amazing Raise will take place on Saturday, September 7^th at Wolf Mountain in Liberty, Utah.

For this year’s Amazing Raise, the Community Foundation of Ogden Valley will be hosting all sorts of exciting activities.  Most of the excitement will take place at the “Hub Festival,” which will include bounce houses, climbing walls, food booths from local restaurants, booths, an obstacle course and enchanted forest, and live music from local act the Kap Brothers Band.

The principal event of the Community Foundation’s Amazing Raise, however, is the Color Me Amazing 5K run/walk and Duathlon.  Registration to participate in the Amazing Raise Color Me Amazing 5K costs $30.  Registration is open until the morning of the race.  The Community Foundation of Ogden Valley will use all proceeds from registration fees to support other non-profit organizations that benefit Ogden Valley.  Click here to register.
