Calling all music fans! It’s time once again for our weekly Blues, Brews, and BBQ Concert Series update. Some amazing artists have graced the stage at the Patio at Earl’s Lodge so far, and many awesome acts still remain, so don’t miss out! Ad if you’re a fan of reggae music, you definitely don’t want to miss out on this week’s Blues, Brews, and BBQ concert, as Snowbasin welcomes local reggae bands The Codi Jordan Band and Know Ur Roots on Sunday, August 25th.
The Codi Jordan Band is a reggae rock band similar to popular acts like Sublime, The Dirty Heads, and Slightly Stoopid. The Codi Jordan Band is about as local as it gets; bassist Cameron Goldsberry and drummer Jonny Knoder are from Ogden, while guitarist Mike Lee and frontman Codi Jordan both grew up right here in Eden. Codi Jordan released a solo album, Vacation, in 2008 and formed the Codi Jordan Band shortly thereafter. The Codi Jordan Band then released its debut album as a group, titled Positivity, in 2010. Since releasing Positivity, the Codi Jordan Band has exploded in popularity. In 2010 and 2011, for example, the Codi Jordan Band was asked to play the main stage at the Winter Dew Tour Utah, a considerable accomplishment for a local band. The Codi Jordan Band has also played numerable reggae festivals across the western US. Come support a local band and see what all the hype is about when the Codi Jordan Band plays the Blues, Brews, and BBQ Concert Series.
Know Ur Roots is also a local reggae band from Salt Lake City.
With the Codi Jordan Band and Know Ur Roots serenading the grounds of Snowbasin with soulful reggae music, this show is sure to be a party. But don’t hesitate to bring your kids; this is an all-ages show, and the whole family will surely have a good time. Come out to Snowbasin and support a couple awesome local bands and enjoy some good food and even better company while you’re at it.
Know Ur Roots will take the stage at the Patio at Earl’s Lodge at 12:00 pm, followed by headliner the Codi Jordan Band at 3:00.
Earl’s Lodge is located at the base of Snowbasin, just beyond the main parking lots. The Patio is located around the back of the building; you should have no trouble finding it. Admission to this Blues, Brews, and BBQ concert is free and open to all ages. Delicious BBQ grub and beer will be available for purchase.
